Professional Relations

At the heart of our dental programs is our relationship with dentists. United Concordia has one of the largest contracted provider networks in the country. Our networks have over 63,000 general dentists and specialists in all 50 states and three US territories.

United Concordia has been able to develop such a large network because we believe dentists are our partners. We treat them as such by designing innovative plans that compensate dentists better for providing high quality service. We also employ top quality Professional Relations staff, who have on average 14 years of direct dental experience, and charge them with making sure United Concordia dental programs run smoothly in the dental offices.

Some of the responsibilities of a United Concordia Professional Relation Representative include:

  1. Recruiting dentists to participate in United Concordia networks.
  2. Promoting two-way communication through office visits, newsletters, etc.
  3. Resolving questions and explaining United Concordia's policies and procedures to dentist/staff.
  4. Verifying compliance with program requirements.
  5. Clarifying claims processing procedures.
  6. Conducting educational seminars.
  7. Promoting value-added services such as electronic claims submission and web-based inquiry.

Thank you for your participation with United Concordia. As a participating dentist, your name and address is included in our network directory. It is extremely important to inform your Professional Relations Representative of any changes to the office name, address, telephone number and any dentist that may be added or deleted from your practice.
