The "HONORS" Program is an innovative concept
that recognizes and "honors" participating
dentists whose past utilization history indicates that
they are providing appropriate, cost-effective care
to our members. The program was developed in response
to various surveys and conversations with Dentists and
Office Managers about their overall experience with our
administrative process. The program is designed to
simplify administrative procedures in the dental office
and facilitate the submission of claims by eliminating
the requirement to submit radiographs for certain
procedures, including crowns and surgical periodontal
procedures. The HONORS program is available for dentists
treating our TRICARE Dental Program and commercial members.
In addition to reducing administrative costs and
decreasing the time it takes to submit your claims,
the HONORS Program allows for the electronic submission
of claims for services that once required attachments, as
routine services.
Membership in the program is based on an analysis of claim
submission patterns. Participation in the program is
voluntary, and is cancelled if network participation is
terminated. United Concordia reserves the right to cancel
participation in the program, and the right to cancel the
program with 30 days' advance notice.
