Dialing a Foreign Phone Number?

If you reside in the same country as the provider, you only need to dial the City Code and Telephone Number. If you reside in a different country as the provider, dial your country's number to make an international call, the Country Code, City Code and Telephone Number.

A standard notation is 44 (0) 1223-xxxx-xxxx; 44 is the Country Code needed to dial to the country; (0) is the NDD prefix necessary to dial within the country. If calling from within the country, the number would be 0 1223-xxxx-xxxx.

An IDD prefix is needed to call from one country to another country.

For example, to call another country from Germany, you must dial 00 before the country code. These values vary between countries and countries can have multiple IDD numbers (based on long- distance carrier). If calling a country from Germany, the number would be 00 44 1223-xxxx-xxxx.
