OCONUS Implant Services

The TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) offers comprehensive implant services to eligible enrollees over age 14.

The implant services covered under the TDP are extensive and include surgical placement, prefabricated abutment, custom abutment and more. There are, however, some limitations.

Non-Availability Referral Form (NARF) for all implant services received in the OCONUS service area, and if living in a Non-Remote location, you must select a dentist from the Host Nation Provider Directory*. A copy of the Directory is also available from your TRICARE Area Office (TAO) or ODTF.

For treatment plans involving implants, United Concordia recommends that a predetermination be obtained before implant services are rendered.

By requesting a predetermination, it ensures that both you and your dentist will know before you receive treatment if the proposed service(s) will be covered and what the anticipated amount of payment will be from United Concordia.

*In Canada, members may receive care from any dentist; however, a NARF is still required.
