When an overseas dental treatment facility (ODTF) is unable to provide orthodontic dental
services, the ODTF will issue an initial
Non-Availability Referral Form (NARF) that authorizes
you to seek care from a provider on the host nation provider listing. Contact your
TRICARE Area Office
(TAO) or ODTF for the host nation provider listing.
After the initial examination is completed, the initial NARF, the
TDP OCONUS Claim Form,
and the provider's bill for the initial exam and treatment plan should be sent to
United Concordia for payment (for the initial exam) and predetermination* for the
ongoing orthodontic treatment plan.
