For assistance with questions about the OCONUS dental program or
filing claims overseas, contact your TRICARE Area Office (TAO)
or overseas dental treatment facility (ODTF) and speak to
a designated OCONUS POC. OCONUS POCs can assist you in receiving
timely reimbursement for OCONUS dental claims.
The OCONUS POC will review the claim to ensure that it contains
all of the information needed for processing and can submit
claims and monitor claim status by fax or e-mail.
The OCONUS POC can also submit the dental claim. If a claim
is submitted by the POC, he or she will receive the
reimbursement and/or Dental Explanation of Benefits
(DEOB) and will be responsible for distributing
them to the enrollee or dentist.
