TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) premiums are determined by the TDP enrollment plan (single or family)
and the military status of the sponsor.
For Selected Reserve and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) members in the Special Mobilization Category,
the Government pays 60 percent of your monthly premium. You are responsible for the remaining 40
percent. If your military status changes to active duty, you automatically will be disenrolled
from the TDP. You will receive active duty dental benefits.
IRR members in a category other than Special Mobilization Category and all Selected Reserve and
IRR family members are responsible for the full amount (100%) of the monthly premium cost. If
the military status of the sponsor changes to active duty, your premiums will change accordingly.
Premium Amounts
Your TDP premium amounts change annually on February 1st.

Premiums are paid on a monthly basis. They must be paid in full. There are no circumstances when
a partial premium can be paid. If you fail to pay your premiums during the mandatory 12-month
enrollment period, the Government will not pay any portion of the premium for the remaining months.
United Concordia will collect the full amount - Government and member
portions - of any remaining
premium due for the 12-month enrollment period from you. Failure to pay the required premiums
may result in referral of the account to a collection agency.
United Concordia offers a variety of options for paying your premiums. For information on your TDP
premium payment options, visit the Premium Payment Options section.
