United Concordia Sends Holiday Wishes to Service Members
In October, United Concordia supported Operation Appreciation,
an initiative of Blue Star Families (a military outreach organization),
by signing holiday cards for military service members deployed overseas.
Employees throughout United Concordia donated holiday cards to support the
project. Staff also participated in departmental meetings during which they
signed the cards and wrote personal letters to the service members.
"United Concordia staff members are always eager to support the
military community in any way possible," says Sharon Duke,
director of Marketing and Outreach, DoD Programs. "Operation
Appreciation was a great way for us to do something as a company and as
individuals to make a difference in the lives of deployed service members
during the holiday season."
Allison Aucker, TDP Enrollment and Billing trainer added "United
Concordia wants to reach out to our military members to give their
heartfelt thanks, solidarity, and encouragement."
In November, more than 1,500 signed cards will be sent overseas to
ensure they are received by the holidays.
