The TDP claims department consists of 60 staff members responsible
for processing claims submitted for the 1.7 million TDP enrollees.
Our staff is experienced and highly skilled. Over 62 percent of our
representatives have been employed by United Concordia or Highmark
for at least five years while over 54 percent have worked on the TDP
contract for at least five years. Our representatives are proud to
serve the military members. Many representatives have family and
friends who serve in the military.
What are the responsibilities of TDP claims representatives?
Our staff works to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.
In 2005, TDP claims representatives processed over 3.7 million claims
with over 98 percent of claims processed in 14 days and over 99 percent
processed in 30 days.
United Concordia encourages electronic claim filing. In fact, our providers
are offered a free Internet tool for claim submission called
Speed
eClaimSM
which provides real-time submission and adjudication of dental claims. Once
a provider registers and is validated, real-time processing begins.
Our commitment to our customers
"United Concordia has enjoyed a great relationship with the military
for the last 10 years as we administered the TDP contract," says Bobbi Strine,
manager of TDP claims. "Our staff understands and appreciates the strength and
courage displayed by our military personnel and their families each day. We
are committed to serving the military with the same pride and integrity with
which they defend our country."
"We are committed to our customers and work to help them in any way possible.
Our employees are constantly suggesting new ways we can reach out and make a
difference in the lives of our military members."
Some activities include sending several care packages to military members overseas.
During 2005, the department collected an assortment of items to send to the troops
serving in Kosovo and Iraq.
